A high energy, mercurial, brilliant production that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats is this Dance feature exploring the seven volatile dances of Lord Shiva, the cosmic dancer. This production of Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak, folk and traditional dance forms.
VIVEKA
VIVEKA- four path yoga, that conveys essence of the four Yogas as perpetrated by Swami Vivekananda. This conveyance is gilded with anecdotes from his life and times, while he travelled across India and is punctuated with divine messages on the four yogic paths Raja Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Bhakthi Yoga and Karma Yoga. The mosaic of episodes that becomes the vehicle of the higher thoughts is interspersed with regional fragrance that wafted across the path that the divine messenger trod. The performance is an amalgamation of Theatrical, Classical-Folk Dance, Mime, Music, Stage Craft and Technology.
Legacies in Motion
Inspired by the collaborative spirit of India’s yesteryears, Legacies in Motion pays tribute to the compositions of Padmabhusan Lalgudi Jayaraman and choreographies of Vazhavoor S.K. Rajaratnam. Proponents of these styles and creations, Lalgudi GJR Krishnan, Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi, and Vidhya Subramanian come together to create a wonderful presentation of their great minds. Originally presented in the Chennai Music Season, Lalgudi Krishnan, Viyalakshmi and Vidhya Subramanian created a spectacular event highlighting the famed qualities of their gurus. Talented in their own rights, the trio include their own creativity to the presentation.
